The Teachers Service Commission has announced 46,000 job opportunities for teachers on pensionable and permanent terms.

In a public notice released on Tuesday, TSC stated that the job vacancies include 6,000 positions for primary schools, 29,550 positions for junior schools, and 450 positions for secondary schools.

The recruitment seeks to address the current shortage of teachers, primarily in the primary and junior schools.

All candidates must be Kenyan citizens and be registered with the Teachers Service Commission.

In addition, applicants for positions in primary schools must hold a minimum of a P1 certificate, while candidates for jobs in junior and secondary schools must hold a diploma in education.

TSC said that interested and qualified candidates should submit applications online through its official website, www.tsc.go.ke, under “Careers” or teachersonline.tsc.go.ke.

“Shortlisted candidates will be required to present original academic and professional certificates,” read the notice.

Successful candidates are required to fill in only one application for employment. “Filling of two or more Application for Employment Forms will lead to disqualification,” TSC noted.

The job opportunities are open for all Kenyans, including persons with disabilities, and are in alignment with constitutional provisions and law.

The employer warned candidates against fraudulent activity, stating the whole recruitment is free of charge.
