Chpter, a Kenyan-based AI-powered conversational platform, has raised $1.2 million in the pre-seed funding round.
The startup plans to use the capital to accelerate product development and enhance sales and marketing efforts. Also, Chpter said the new resource will enable it to expand its product availability in other Sub-Saharan Africa.
The funding round was led by PANI’s founded Ken Njoroge. Other participants included Techstars, ViKtoria, Ventures, Renew Capital, Norrsken, and Plesion Capital.

Chpter enables businesses to use social media platforms to increase sales by connecting with customers. Also, the AI-powered tool helps businesses to build stronger customer connections through one-to-one marketing.
The start-up recently attained the Meta’s partner badge, a milestone that help to incorporate advanced Meta features into their platforms. With the partnership, Chpter can provide additional cutting-edge solutions for businesses on different social media platforms.
Chpter operates in Kenya and South Africa. The company announced plans to introdude the service in Morocco, Egypt, Ghana, and Nigeria over the next few months.
